Position purpose: IBON International responds to international demand to provide support in research and education to peoples’ movements and grassroots empowerment and advocacy and links these to international initiatives and networks. IBON International initiates and implements international programmes, develops and hosts international networks, initiates and participates in international advocacy campaigns, and establishes regional and country offices where necessary and appropriate. IBON is the fiscal sponsor of the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE) programme and hosts the CPDE Global Secretariat.

The Webmaster is tasked to ensure CPDE’s online presence utilising communication channels centred around the maintenance of a dynamic and interactive website including its social media interface. The Webmaster is also tasked to contribute to improving internal communications and knowledge management systems though administration of email listserves and online database/intranet.

Translation/Communications Officer for French

IBON International Executive Director

Position purpose: IBON International responds to international demand to provide support in research and education to peoples’ movements and in grassroots empowerment and advocacy, and links these to international initiatives and networks. IBON International initiates and implements international programmes, develops and hosts international networks, and launches and participates in international advocacy campaigns. It also establishes regional and country offices where necessary and appropriate.
IBON International currently holds the financial management and Global Secretariat functions of the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE), including Communications.
The Translation/Communications Officer for French manages CPDE’s demand-driven translation work. S/He supports and coordinates the translation of internal and external communications of CPDE. S/he will also be primarily responsible for translating key documents, internal exchanges and public communication outputs into French. S/He will coordinate with relevant regional and sectoral focal points, and WGs in bridging information exchange, especially those involving translation and communication in French, between the various levels of CPDE constituencies. S/He will work closely with the CPDE Network Manager, Membership Engagement Officer, Policy and Advocacy Officers, and Communications Officer to animate policy advocacy, to help implement communication plans and to strengthen existing communication platforms. S/He will be reporting directly to the Network Manager.
The successful candidate must be a competent translator, communications planner, writer and coordinator with fluency in the French language and competent French writing skills. S/He has the capacity to articulate CPDE’s position in appropriate written form and publishing platforms. S/He will be familiar with CPDE’s key policy areas and corresponding communication themes and debates where CPDE has substantial involvement.

The PME Officer will be responsible for providing professional expertise and assistance in gathering and processing data and information related to work and resource planning, implementation of activities, and evaluation of results, ensuring that activities are aligned to platform and program strategic vision and will result in the achievement of intended outcomes in a cost-effective and timely manner.

The Project Manager will provide Programme management support to the IBON International Management Committee (MANCOM) to ensure that the activities indicated under its programme plan are resourced and implemented effectively. As such, the Programme Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of activities of the Programme. The Programme Manager will coordinate with and get guidance from the MANCOM regarding strategic objectives and outcomes.
