Trade and Development Finance

Today the world is consumed by multiple and convergent crises: in energy, food, climate, and finance that threaten the lives and livelihoods of hundreds of millions of people, in the North and the South.  Trade and finance activities of major economic actors such as transnational corporations, financial institutions and governments have contributed immensely to these problems.  Trade and finance policies of governments and intergovernmental bodies also play a central role in solving them.

IBON International supports the capacity of civil society organizations, activists, researchers, academics and policy makers to initiate and sustain advocacy agendas that promote trade and finance supportive of equitable and sustainable human development rather than wealth accumulation for a few.
