Policy and Communications Associate

Reporting to: Policy and Communications Head
Location of work: Quezon City, Manila, Philippines
Contract duration: October 2024 – October 2025 with six months probation; renewable
Key responsibilities:
  •  Assist in the implementation of IBON International’s policy and advocacy plan as well as related communications work;
  • Monitor policy and advocacy spaces and CSO engagements of the network, including dialogues and meetings at regional and international levels;
  • Support the production of knowledge materials for policy and advocacy engagements (policy briefs, articles/write-ups);
  • Write statements and produce information-communication materials (including online materials such as infographics, audio-visual materials, etc.); and
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Policy and Communications team
Person specifications (experience, skills and knowledge): Required experience, skills, and knowledge

  • Graduate of political science, development studies, international relations, economics, journalism, or any related course;
  • Experience in research, advocacy or related fields;
  • Experience in communications or any other related field;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to work in a small team;
  • High standard of spoken and written English; and
  • Computer literate and familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the Adobe Creative Cloud or any other related systems.
