VOLUNTEER POSITION:

At IBON International, we welcome both foreign and Filipino nationals, to join us in contributing to the capacity development of people’s movements. Together, we strive to promote human rights and democracy under various themes within the realm of development cooperation.

Our key areas of focus include:

  1. Development finance and cooperation
  2. Trade and investment
  3. Climate justice
  4. Rrights-based democracy/people-powered democracy
  5. Corporatization of development

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide communications support, including documentation and webinar assistance.
  2. Engage in online and face-to-face activities.
  3. Assist with various tasks as needed.

INTERNSHIP POSITION:

IBON International Foundation, Inc. invites undergraduate and graduate students based in the Philippines who are studying International Studies, Journalism, Mass Communication, Development Communications, and related fields to join our internship program.

We also welcome students studying Business Management, Administration, and other relevant disciplines.

Objectives:

  1. Familiarize students with IBON International Foundation, its vision, mission, development philosophy, and organizational principles through its programs, services, management system/s and day-to-day work at the office and with communities and partner organizations;
  2. Provide an overview of international work, focusing on policy, advocacy, research, and communication.
  3. Engage students in concrete traineeship projects or outputs.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in research and social media
  2. Demonstrated commitment, hard work, and openness to learning.
  3. Preferably knowledgeable about international development issues, socio-economic concerns, policy and advocacy, and other relevant themes.

Our organization offers internship opportunities for individuals who are eager to gain practical experience and contribute to our mission. Please note that internships are voluntary and unpaid, although travel costs may be reimbursed in certain cases.

To be eligible for an internship, candidates must be available to work in a hybrid or on-site setting. We believe in the value of hands-on experience and encourage interns to fully commit to their assigned tasks and provide regular reports on their progress.

Upon successful completion of the internship, interns will receive a corresponding certificate and any other necessary documentation to validate their participation and achievements.

  1. Prepare your CV, highlighting your educational background, skills, and any relevant experience.
  2. Write a letter of interest, not exceeding 500 words, in which you outline your expectations, skills, preferred area of work, academic background, and any notable experiences.
  3. Include a minimum of two sample works, such as unpublished blog articles, sample homework assignments, or other similar outputs that showcase your abilities.
