Annual Report 2022

In 2022, we saw corporations, powerful institutions, and governments culpable for global, multiple crises claim that they have the solutions for systemic injustice. In the Philippines, where IBON International’s main offices are based, the rights situation remains concerning as the son of deposed dictator Ferdinand Marcos has gained the highest seat of executive power in the country. In this context, IBON International continued to support social movements’ and civil society organisations’ (CSOs) capacities for rights and sovereignty towards social transformation and building people-powered democracy.
