In November 2022, representatives from over 190 countries trooped to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt for the 27th Conference of Parties (COP27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Despite the annual talks being hounded by issues of corporate greenwashing, civil society continued to make waves to assert their central role in climate policymaking and governance.
This book is a compilation of IBON International and its partners’ initiatives and analyses of issues before, during, and after COP 27 that underscored the need to place the leadership of the most harmed people in the world at the forefront of climate action.
