Under the theme of “Maximizing Finance for Development” (MFD), this year's meeting would center on mobilizing private finance and engaging big business to invest in lucrative infrastructure projects especially in underdeveloped countries.
On the same week (Oct. 8-14), the Peoples' Global Conference Against IMF-WB would also be held in Bali to gather the broadest assembly of people's movements, non-government and civil society organizations of the urban and rural poor, indigenous peoples, farmers, fisherfolks, workers, migrants, women, youth, LGBTQI, and other sectors that are most adversely affected by IMF-WB's policies and schemes.
The Conference will be held in Bali, Indonesia from October 12 to 14, 2018. Pre-conference activities will also be organized starting October 8, 2018, which will be hosted by various organizations in Indonesia.
The main conference venue is in the auditorium of the Radio Republic of Indonesia (RRI) in Denpasar City.
