The National CSO Strategy Workshop on Enabling Civil Society, a core component of the said project, will bring together Philippine CSOs and social movements from different regions and sectors to:
- Identify and discuss the different causes and determinants of shrinking civic spaces
- Formulate a set of demands and recommendations to improve civic spaces
- Develop CSO strategies to improve advocacy and campaign on civic spaces and CSO engagement
At the end of this workshop, Philippine CSOs will come up with a CSO Manifesto which they will use for their own advocacy and campaign initiatives. The said Manifesto will be presented at a multi stakeholder dialogue on civic spaces and CSO engagement in development discussions.
