Responding to the multiple crises, people’s movements have bravely exercised their sovereignty. In 2021, we at IBON International reaffirmed our commitment to supporting movements through capacity development. We began implementing our 2021-2025 Strategic Plan (SP) towards building People-Powered Democracy. Responding to pandemic-related limitations in advocacy and campaigning, we used virtual channels to raise awareness and build solidarity on people’s issues and struggles. As part of our programme development, we are advancing our work on Women and Gender, in consultation with women’s organisations. We focus on women's key roles in social transformation and building People-Powered Democracy.
