IBON International and the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Manila is inviting everyone to a forum entitled, “The Climate Crisis: Shifting the Tides for Climate Justice” on October 28, 2014 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the College of Mass Communication Auditorium, University of the Philippines, Diliman.  The forum aims to discuss the prospects of the international climate negotiations and the ways forward towards climate justice. 
 
Confirmed speakers include Ms. Marlene Natera Valdiviezo of the Venezuelan Embassy in Manila, Dr. Giovanni Tapang – Associate Dean for Student and Public Affairs, University of the Philippines College of Science and the President of the Philippines – Bolivarian Venezuela Friendship Association Mr. Edgie Francis B. Uyanguren of CONTEND UP Diliman, Mr. Leon Dulce of KALIKASAN Peoples’ Network for the Environment, and Ms. Maria Theresa Lauron of IBON International and the Peoples’ Movement on Climate Change (PMCC).
 
This is in partnership with Agham Youth, Congress of Teachers and Educators for Nationalism and Democracy (CONTEND UP), KALIKASAN – Peoples' Network for the Environment, People Surge – Alliance for Yolanda (Haiyan) Victims, Philippines – Bolivarian Venezuela Friendship Association, and the Peoples’ Movement on Climate Change (PMCC).
